The connection between the tablet portion and the island-style full-size keyboard is a magnetic hinge that makes for easy detaching when needed. The hinge has the rigidity needed to keep the tablet section upright for use as a notebook and in multiple modes. Both touch and pen functionality are supported, and with the pen users can handwrite on the screen.
