7. Perform a Clean Boot

  1. Press Windows key + R and enter msconfig.
  2. Now press Enter or click OK.
  3. Navigate to the Services tab and check the Hide all Microsoft services box.
  4. Next click on Disable all button.
  5. Navigate to the Startup tab and click on the Open Task Manager.
  6. Right-click the first entry on the list and choose Disable from the menu.
  7. Repeat these steps for all entries on the list.
  8. Once you disable all startup applications, go back to System Configuration window and click on Apply and OK.

8.1 Change file associations using the Registry Editor

  2. Open the archive and run lnk_fix_w10.reg file.
