Verizon is expanding its range of unlimited rate plans with a new option.

Above Unlimited is Verizon’s newest unlimited plan. Launching June 18th, Above Unlimited is Verizon’s top-end unlimited plan, sitting above Go Unlimited and Beyond Unlimited with additional features.

Included with Above Unlimited is unlimited 4G LTE data with a deprioritization threshold of 75GB, up from the 22GB threshold on the Beyond Unlimited plan. This means that Above Unlimited customers may have their data usage slowed after they use 75GB of data in a single month and they’re in an area where the network is congested.

Also part of the Above Unlimited Plan is unlimited talk and text, 720p HD video streaming, unlimited mobile hotspot (20GB at 4G LTE speeds), usage in Mexico and Canada, and 500GB of Verizon Cloud storage. Above Unlimited customers get 5 TravelPasses per month (normally $10 per day), too, which lets them use their talk, text, and data while in more than 130 countries.

Pricing for the Above Unlimited plan will start at $95 per month for a single line. Family plan pricing is set at $90 per line per month for two lines, $70 per line per month for three lines, and $60 per line per month for four or more lines.

Also launching on June 18th is the ability to mix and match Verizon unlimited plans on a single family account. This means that you can have some people on a Go Unlimited plan, someone on a Beyond Unlimited plan, and someone on a new Above Unlimited plan, all on a single bill.

Previously, Verizon customers all had to be on the same unlimited plan, so it’s nice to see Verizon letting customers mix and match plans so that each person in a family can get the plan that’s best suited for them. It’s especially welcome news since the new Above Unlimited plan is the priciest of Verizon’s unlimited plans. Now if one family member really values the extra premium 4G LTE data and TravelPasses that come with Above Unlimited, they can get that plan without making everyone else in the family pony up for the same plan.
