

One month after the Essential Phone began receiving its Android 8.1 update, it’s time for the Sprint version of the device to get its own 8.1 update.
Essential has confirmed that Android 8.1 Oreo is now rolling out to the Sprint version of the Essential Phone. The update adds new features like faster start-up, smart text selection, and more, as well as the April 2018 Android security patches and a slow scrolling jitter fix.

- Google Play Protect security scans

- Improved performance and bug fixes
