Sony has never been one to really jump on the bandwagon when it comes to these trends, and the upcoming Xperia XZ3 is no exception. Official renders of the smartphone have leaked and they show that Sony 1) has no intention of embracing the notch anytime soon, and 2) it hasn’t been completely bowled over by the fascination with dual cameras.
As you can see from the renders above, the Xperia XZ3 still has rather large bezels at the top and bottom of the display. In fact, the bezel at the bottom is large enough for Sony to fit its logo and still have room to spare. On the back, we still see a single camera (which is reported to be an 19MP shooter), which is becoming less and less common in the flagship space. Google is the only other major player that seems reticent to adopting two (or three) cameras out back. Lingering about halfway down the back of the smartphone is a fingerprint sensor.
When it comes to other important specs, the Xperia XZ3 is expected to feature a 5.7-inch Full HD+ display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor with 6GB of RAM, 128GB of internal storage and a 3240 mAh battery.
Although we don’t have any firm leads on pricing, the device is expected to make its debut later this month at IFA 2018 in Barcelona, Spain.
