Moto E6 official

The Moto E series of phones is Motorola’s aggressively priced Android models for folks on a budget, and today the newest model in the family has been made official.

The Moto E6 features a 5.5-inch 1440×720 display, which is slightly smaller than last year’s Moto E5. The rear camera on the Moto E6 have been upgraded to a 13MP rear camera with f/2.0 aperture and phase detection autofocus, and around front is a 5MP selfie cam.

Inside, the Moto E6 has gotten a newer octa-core Snapdragon 435 processor, which has been paired with 2GB of RAM. There’s 16GB of storage included in the Moto E6, and a microSD card slot will let you add up to 256GB of additional storage. The battery is 3000mAh, which is smaller than the 4000mAh battery included with last year’s Moto E5. The Moto E6’s battery is removable, though, which is something we don’t often see in smartphones anymore.

Rounding out the Moto E6’s spec list is a 3.5mm headphone jack, a microUSB charging port, a 2-in-1 front-ported speaker, and a water repellent coating. Motorola has preloaded the Moto E6 with Android 9.0 Pie.

The Moto E6 is now available from Verizon at a price of $6.24 per month for 24 months or $149.99 full retail. It’ll also launch at T-Mobile, Metro by T-Mobile, Boost Mobile, U.S. Cellular, Consumer Cellular, and Xfinity Mobile. Retailers such as Amazon, Best Buy, B&H Photo, and Walmart will sell the Moto E6 unlocked. Motorola’s new phone will be available in Canada this summer, too.
