Jeff Bezos continued his happy-go-lucky streak across social media on Wednesday by showing he has a sense of humor when it comes to his two biggest pursuits in life — Amazon and Blue Origin.
The Amazon CEO shared an image on Instagram of late-night TV host Conan O’Brien, overlaid with a joke the comic told about Bezos and how the world’s richest person plans to spend his fortune. Bezos’ only comment was a smiling emoji, along with mentions for @teamcoco and @BlueOrigin.

O’Brien’s joke on Tuesday night’s episode of “Conan” on TBS (4:12 mark in video) was playing off recent news that Bezos has characterized his work with Blue Origin and space travel as “the most important work” that he’s doing. Billions of dollars of his personal wealth are going into the venture.
“The only way that I can see to deploy this much financial resource is by converting my Amazon winnings into space travel,” Bezos said last week during an Axel Springer award ceremony in Berlin. “That is basically it. Blue Origin is expensive enough to be able to use that fortune. I am liquidating about $1 billion a year of Amazon stock to fund Blue Origin. And I plan to continue to do that for a long time.”
Last month, Bezos dropped his guard a bit on Instagram and Twitter by showing a lighter side of himself, making pancakes with Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson and singer Ciara, looking buff and calling out Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson at a screening of “Rampage,” and lounging with a large stuffed panda bear as he worked on his annual Amazon shareholder letter.
Over the weekend he turned heads again, posing in Western wear as he leaned against a New Shepard crew capsule following a successful test flight of his suborbital spaceship.
